As Chief Financial Officer for Metropolis, Alex Shewchuk is responsible for all things financial - budgets, proformas, projections, bank accounts, bookkeeping, tax returns, government reporting, and project financing. He brings a broad spectrum of international experience and financial insight to Metropolis. His tenure as a systems analyst for Morgan Stanley introduced him to both the financial services industry and the application of technology to refine business ventures, in places such as New York, London, and Tokyo. Shifting gears into strategic management, he worked in Brazil, then consulted for A.T.Kearney in various functional areas and industries. Alex has an MBA from The Wharton School. Alex stretches the definition of multicultural: born in Germany; raised in Spain; lived in England, Japan, and Brazil; and of Chinese, Ukrainian, and Polish heritage. He is thrilled with his new daughter, Gabriella who adds two nation groups, Sweden and Mexico, to the mix. Alex is passionate about playing soccer. |
